Full Launches

The Upstream Digital Media method for full service launches is an extension of how we handle consulting:

– Meet with senior leaders to understand high-level requirements

– Meet with other stakeholders (typically your in-house subject matter experts) for additional information

– Resolve any questions or gray areas that arise

– Develop high-level requirements

– Meet with senior leaders and key stakeholders to verify requirements

– Begin UI (wireframe) in collaboration with designers (we can provide design resources or we can work with your team)

– We will go through multiple cycles of UI until we are satisfied the UI meets requirements as we understand them

– Share UI with senior leaders and key stakeholders, update based on feedback

– Create detailed requirements based on UI

– Begin development (we can provide development resources or we can work with your team)

– Begin final design based on UI (we can provide design resources or we can work with your team)

– Share design with senior leaders and key stakeholders, update based on feedback

– Share site build in progress with key stakeholders, incorporate feedback

– When site is ready: soft-launch in collaboration with key stakeholders; share private url with senior leaders

– When site is greenlit: public launch

Q&A:

Why does Upstream begin development before design is complete?

– To accelerate your launch. Through years of experience, we understand what can be done based on UI and what needs to wait until the design is complete. Generally, back-end development and page frameworks can be done based on UI; final CSS treatment is done at the end of the process and requires design.
